Soon, shoppers at Södermalm can look forward to experiencing a new version of Søstrene Grene as the Danish retail chain is set to open a store with its newest sensory shopping concept at bustling Götgatan
During the summer, Søstrene Grene will open a brand-new store in the centre of Stockholm. The store will open at Götgatan in Södermalm with the retail chain’s newest store concept ‘Retail for the Senses’ – a concept that has been warmly welcomed by customers across Europe and a few Swedish cities. This new store will be the 16th in Sweden and the first Stockholm store to include Retail for the Senses.
Group CEO and co-owner of Søstrene Grene, Mikkel Grene, is looking forward to the opening and says:
“We are very excited to be opening a new store in the beautiful city of Stockholm and at such a prominent address. We are very much looking forward to inviting the residents of this lovely city to explore the wonderful world of Anna and Clara.”
An experience like no other
Located at Götgatan, visitors are invited to explore Søstrene Grene’s well-known range of home interior and small furniture, hobby items, toys, kitchen supplies, stationery, and much more.
Through the new 553 m2 store, you can get a full view of Retail for the Senses. With this concept, the Danish retail chain has designed a unique shopping experience like no other, which speaks to your senses and invites you in for an exploring journey throughout the store.
“We have worked hard on the shopping concept with the vision of giving our customers a little break from an often-hectic everyday life, so we are therefore excited to showcase it to and hopefully inspire our visitors,” says Mikkel Grene.
The idea of ‘the city’ has served as an inspiration. The well-known Søstrene Grene maze has become more organic; the flow widens to imitate boulevards and narrows to imitate smaller alleys. Some shelves are tall and inspired by skyscrapers and others short as town houses.
Furthermore, large squares showcasing the product categories have been incorporated into the store design to allow customers to take a break and explore during their visit in the store.
Grand opening celebration
The store opening in Södermalm will be celebrated with a grand opening event. Mikkel Grene says about the opening day:
“Visitors can look forward to a festive opening with the red carpet rolled out, live classical music and a giveaway. We are putting great effort into making the opening day festive and special, and we hope to see as many happy customers as possible.”
Søstrene Grene will soon have established 16 stores in Sweden and over 330 stores across Europe. The retail chain is aiming to reach more than 500 stores by 2027.
